Barrington Centre
"Georgina, Emily and Charlotte worked as a group with us working on a live project, a re-branding of The Barrington Arts & Community Centre in Ferndown, Dorset. The brief involved creating a new brand identity, moving away from the previous identity which was seen as part of the local Council. Retaining the current local audience and maintaining a sense of community, the goal was to attract new customers to the centre, putting it on the map nationally creating a vibrant arts venue for theatre, dance & comedy.
The group displayed really creative ‘out of the box’ thinking in their design process and through their research they found a press article describing the centre as a ‘hidden gem’. This led to an abstract, reflective, gem like icon which they refined to take in the architecture, the angles of the building.
The team also considered the marketing touchpoints of the brand across the business in their highly professional presentation to the clients. Although they were pipped to the post in the final decision making, the clients were extremely impressed in their feedback and remarked on the high levels of design and professionalism provided by the group. In terms of work experience I would highly recommend any members of the group for employment. "
